Rider Sport Australia (RSA) is about catering for grassroots participation in amateur, non-professional rider sport and active recreation for riders of all ages on powered and unpowered vehicles, which are ridden. Powered rider sport means a vehicle that is ridden, which is propelled by a motor. Unpowered rider sport means a vehicle that is ridden, which is propelled by a person.
RSA has a Not For Profit (NFP) subsidiary company, which caters specifically for professional motorcycle sport. RSA also has NFP state subsidiaries, which are stand alone entities, and other local subsidiaries. Clubs and businesses do NOT associate with RSA through a state body but associate directly with the national body as Promoters of RSA events. Read more about RSA Promoters >>
- RSA is part of the global Rider Sport Group (RSG)! Some countries where the RSG operates have a smaller population compared to others. This means the higher populated countries where the RSG operates can produce significantly more income for the insurer, therefore 'propping up' the lower income earning countries;
- All forms of rider sport are inherently dangerous, particularly motorcycling! Many activities are included under the 'rider sport' banner to diversify the income produced for the insurer, therefore 'propping up' the activities which may produce more claims than others;
- Our insurer also provides cover for our sister company the Driver Sport Group (DSG) and its subsidiaries, which have been established to serve drivers and organisers of competitive and noncompetitive driver sport events, which include powered and unpowered vehicles that are driven, and
- We have another sister company, which is also serviced by the same insurer, which is the Camping Ground Group (CGG). The CGG is about helping member caravan parks and private camps to obtain insurance cover to appropriately protect their campground business, property and assets.
The RSA is the future of rider sport and active recreation in this country!!
