DISCOVER RSA RIDER REPRESENTATIVES

The aim of a Rider Representative (Rider Rep) is to assist in communication between management, officials and participants. Rider Reps are also responsible for providing a voice for all riders in the relevant RSA Corporate Division (discipline) eg. enduro, motocross, speedway, etc to the Board of the RSA National Company, ensuring that participants have a greater say in decision making for their sport. For experienced confident riders, approaching an official about a concern regarding an event course might be an easy thing to do, but for junior participants doing their first event it can be a lot more daunting. This is how Rider Reps and their assistants also help Rider Sport Australia (RSA) to manage risk!

The RSA Board appoints Rider Reps in each Corporate Division to be the first point of contact for any member to learn more about what we do, membership and benefits, how to become a better volunteer, to learn about grassroots activism and help with any other questions members might have. The Rider Rep is also intended to be an approachable point of contact for all participants to raise concerns, about any aspect of an event and also constitute a sounding board for officials when changes to event details or program are being considered during the course of an event. Of course all riders continue to have the right to go directly to officials to raise any aspect of concern.

All Rider Reps are entitled to recruit a panel of assistants to help RSA promoters and subsidiaries and the sport in its growth and development, along with technical aspects that may arise in relation to the conduct of motocross in the state/ territory. Rider Reps also make recommendations to the National Division Manager in relation to activities of the division in the state/ territory and liaise with Riders to canvas their views in relation to activities of the Division in the state/ territory and various other rider issues and reporting back to the National Division Manager and/or RSA Staff as appropriate. Additionally Rider Reps liaise with the relevant National Division Manager & National Education Manager. All Rider Reps also play a role in  RSA Sport Commissions >>

Rider Reps are an important part in helping make RSA events safer and to help keep riders smiling!
