A Rider Sport Australia (RSA) Event Promoter can be a commercial (Private Promoter) or not for profit (Promoting Club) organisation that provides Promoter Services to the RSA, which includes raising awareness about RSA events and getting people excited about attending them. Promoters also manage publicity and advertising of the specified RSA events and depending on the event, they may also handle ticket sales, event admission, booking of trainers, entertainers, vendors, etc.
Promoters enter into a simple contract with RSA, which is about upholding the RSA’s mission and standards for event operation. An RSA Promoter does NOT organise RSA events, only RSA certified volunteer officials organise RSA sanctioned events. Promoters are insured as contractors by the RSA's insurer for providing administration services relating to RSA events ONLY. An RSA Event Promoter is NOT a member of the RSA!! A Promoter is a Contractor, therefore a Promoter can NOT and should NOT be accused of dual affiliation!
